The Future of Blackberry

Blackberry is no longer the force it used to be in the mobile world. With Blackberry’s recent release of their new BB10 devices they hope to change all that and become player number 3 in the mobile world. Sure, they released some nice looking handsets and what looks to be a pretty capable operating system. The 3rd place will be going to Microsoft, simply because they have more money to throw at their mobile operating system and keep it going and going, plus their desktop operating system is currently on 91% of the worlds computers which integrates so damn well with it.

With Blackberry 10, Blackberry started to move away from what made it so popular – its business features. No longer is the focus on Blackberry Messenger (BBM) or Blackberry Enterprise, it’s making sure Angry Birds and Cut the Rope are there, making sure people can post pictures of their food and cat to the internet. This is all so wrong. Blackberry needs to get back to its business centric model of smartphones. Many people I know have more than 1 phone; their personal phone and their work phone. Blackberry can’t come storming in 3 years late and expect to claim ground from very established personal phone operating systems. No, they must come in and regain the territory which made them so popular in the first place – the work phone.

IPhone Outpaced in Surging India by Less Costly Rival

In the fast growing India, Apple and Samsung are being beaten by a couple of aggressive competitors. Bangalore-based Karbonn Mobiles and Micromax is being fuelled by Indian buyers, which will be accessed by more than 300 million people by 2017. Their ultimate selling secret? The price.

In a country where about 800 million people live on less than $2 a day, Karbonn handsets start from 3,599 rupees ($66) and Micromax’s from 3,999 rupees, less than the cheapest Apple and Samsung smartphones. The iPhone 4 is available for 26,500 rupees and Samsung’s Galaxy Y Duos Lite for 6,110 rupees.

“India is poised for a smartphone boom; just look at the Internet penetration and potential,” Deepak Mehrotra, chief executive officer of Gurgaon-based Micromax, said in an interview. “But we don’t see any point to offering a Ferrari.”

Remain the history: Nokia 3310 is good?

It is going to be legend mobile phone forever for 2G.
I want to comment about Nokia3310 which is not famous now, today. It used to be the best 2G phone and strongest phone in the world, even you thrown it away.

The feature was good enough for that time and well known phone for Nokia.
Nokia was the best brand in the past but now unlikely.
The features include calculator, games and so on. It may not many application like modern smartphone but it was enough for the day pass by.

I remember my mother used it and it was my first mobile phone to use and touch , i really like it because it was very strong phone so i was very careless person. Compare to modern smartphone easily break, especially when you put on your jean or pants. After long time, Nokia reputation seem to be less famous because they do not have much idea for new things and CEO as well.

I still saw someone like my employee use and she said "It is very strong phone and easy for me to use" that i was i heard. Not just only old generation use but new generation like me would like to use something is so simple.

However,  technology becomes more available to everyone and they can effort to buy and touch it like Iphone or Blackberry. Nokia 3310 still be the history and their father of all mobile phone. Iphone,Samsung and Blackberry  are son of Nokia.

Samsung has unveiled a slim, feature-rich Galaxy S4 as its new champion to take on Apple in the fiercely competitive smartphone arena

Samsung has unveiled a slim, feature-rich Galaxy S4 as its new champion to take on Apple in the fiercely competitive smartphone arena.

The South Korean consumer electronics giant introduced the Galaxy S4 on the stage of New York City's Radio City Music Hall and said the smartphones would roll out in 155 countries in late April. Pricing was not disclosed.

"For each of us, life is a journey," said Samsung mobile communications division head JK Shin.

"What we want is a device that can join us on that journey; a companion that helps us experience life in the fullest."

S4 features include a high-definition, five-inch (12.7-centimeter) screen, enhanced picture-taking capabilities and the capacity to translate to and from nine languages.

"It is now clearly Samsung's flagship device; jam-packed with technology," said Gartner analyst Michael Gartenberg.

"The question is how many of these features will resonate with consumers."

Samsung played up its online hub for music, books, and video and the ease with which the S4 can share video with televisions made by the company.

"At this point, smartphones are all about software and ecosystems; showing up with compelling hardware is the expected starting point," Gartenberg said.

"This is about a Samsung ecosystem that happens to be built on Android."

Samsung is the biggest and most successful maker of smartphones powered by Android software that Google makes available for free.

Samsung has become the top smartphone maker worldwide with a 29 percent market share, according to IDC, while in the US market Apple remains the king and sells more than one of every three mobile phones.

The Galaxy S3 has sold more than 40 million worldwide since its launch last May and has some analysts debating which of the two firms is ahead in innovation.

"We are always listening to learn from people around the world about what kind of progress they really want," Shin said.

Samsung stressed innovation as it continues to defend itself against charges made by Apple in public and in lawsuits that the South Korean rival has copied the California company's creations.

The S4 is thinner than its predecessor and weighs just 130 grams despite having a bigger screen and battery.

The smartphone also boasts a "dual camera" function that lets the front and rear-facing cameras be used simultaneously for pictures or videos that combine images of subjects with that of the photographer.

A Group Play function lets S4 handsets close to one another share music, photos, documents or games, or even work in unison as a sound system for a song.

An S Translator feature lets people speak or enter text in one tongue and have it instantly converted to another.

Sensors in the S4 detect when a person looks away from a video and then pauses play until the distraction has passed and eyes are once again directed at the screen.

S4 sensors combined with S Health software enable handsets to be used to track exercise, eating, heart rate and other fitness factors.

The handsets were also designed to measure temperature and humidity to help people "understand what is going on around them."

Samsung also took aim at the trend of people using their own smartphones for work with the addition of new Knox software that builds a secure wall between personal and business data on handsets.

"The Samsung Galaxy S4 is very good, but looks like an evolution to the S3, not a revolution," said technology analyst Jeff Kagan.

Apple, which is known for keeping its plans private, is believed to be working on its own upgrades, including a new version of the iconic iPhone. But Apple shares have slumped some 40 percent from highs hit last year.

IOS vs Android

According to the bar chart, it demonstrates and compare between two worldwide OS which are IOS and Android.
Firstly, you may see the user base of both OS are the same but i believe that IOS has more user base in western countries and Android has more users base in Asia like Samsung. For development cost, Android seems to be more invest in technology because Android is open system so they are developing all the time.
Actually, IOS is great OS but a new CEO makes it not so interesting anymore. When Steve Job was alive, IOS market share and technology used to increase a lot.
Secondly, For App i as a consumer prefer IOS because it has many application and useful tool. Compare to Android has less application than IOS and useless. Moreover, it seems that Steve job did a lot of investment for development and research as well. When Iphone releases many people want to buy it, more demand for IOS. However, today apple market share decreases a lot.
Thirdly,  Android has failed in many areas according to bar chart because the performance still has some problem like when i was using Android goods , it was very slow to react.
Lastly, for overall IOS is better than Android. As a consumer, i agree with this bar chart and IOS never give me a bad feeling in technology. It is the greatest one.
